14 point NBL Pacific Northwest Regional Conference, SKIL AAA rated www.nblskil.com, ISJA Canadian Sport Jujitsu Championships, WKC, W.O.M.A.A. www.womaa1.com, and Wushu BC sanctioned.

WORLD MARTIAL ART GAMES:
The Tiger Balm Internationals is a W.O.M.A.A. sanctioned, qualifying event to help pick members for TEAM CANADA for The W.O.M.A.A. World Martial Games.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT IS MANDATORY:
Includes: Hand/foot pads, mouthpiece, and headgear. Protective equipment will be available for sale on site. Gloves will be provided for the WKC Continuous, and Sanshu sparring divisions.

NINE SPARRING CATEGORIES:
SKIL point sparring, SKIL & WKC continuous sparring, Sport Jujitsu, padded weapons sparring, Sanshu sparring, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Free Style Grappling, and Modified Pankration.

PADDED WEAPON'S POINT FIGHTING:

    Padded weapon's point sparring combatants are required to have the following:
    Martial arts uniform, mouthpiece, athletic cup (male combatants), fingernails and toenails trimmed, and protective hand pads. Recommended equipment: Knee and shin pads (optional but highly recommended), shoes (non-marking soles), elbow pads (optional but highly recommended), and any safety pads a combatant feels are necessary to prevent injury without restriction of motion.

    Supplied equipment by the event:
    Weapon of choice (tomfa, nunchucks, three section staff, katana, staff, and arnis sticks), headgear (re-enforced steel wire cages and full faced head), and chest protectors.

AGE RULE:
All ranks must compete at the age they are as of January 1, 2009. Please see the following web site www.nblskil.com/skita/skitamenu.html for a SKITA rulebook. Full rules for all divisions are available below under Link to Rules.

SPORT JUJITSU RULES NOTE:
Sport Jujitsu black belts divisions under ISJAC Canadian rules are now one-3 minute round with 1 minute on the ground. Underbelts and juniors are one-2 minute round with 30 seconds on the ground.

PAYMENT INFORMATION:
Early registration (must be postmarked by March 10, 2009 or received in person by March 12, 2009):
One event = $50 CDN / $45 U.S. plus $15 CDN/ $13 U.S. for each additional event.

BONUS* All pre-registrations will receive a free 4 oz tin of Tiger Balm, a package of player cards from Gateway Casino, and a discount coupon from Golden Arrow Martial Arts Supply.

Late registration (received after March 10, 2009):
One event = $55 CDN / $50 U.S. plus $20 CDN / $18 U.S. for each additional event.

Attention Parents:
Any child up to and including age 12 that pre-registers will receive one free spectator pass (a $15 value) to be picked up on the day of the tournament. If you wish you can upgrade to a floor pass. ADMISSION:
At the door: Adults $15.00 CND / 13 U.S., Seniors & Children (12 & under) $7.00 CND / $6 U.S.,
4 Years & under free. Admission valid for both days. Competitors do not pay for admission on either day.

COACHES AND OR FLOOR/VIDEO PASS:
$40 CND / $36 U.S. to gain access to the competitor floor area.

PAID JUDGES:
Any black belt that registers will be paid for each division they judge. Judges will receive $1.00 per entry. For example, 12 entries pays out $12.00. Preference in choosing officials will be based on pre-registration, attendance at the black belt meeting, a professional appearance (martial arts uniform prefered), an understanding of the rules, and previous experience.

BREAKING CONTESTANTS:
Breaking contestants must supply all their own breaking materials, tarps, and prove they are able to remove all broken materials completely from the tournament site and college campus or their entries will be cancelled.

GO FOR THE GOLD:
In the spirit of international competition The Tiger Balm Internationals is now awarding quality thick three inch color inset gold, silver, and bronze medals.

SATURDAY DAYTIME SCHEDULE:
The NBL black belt divisions will begin at 9:30 a.m. with weapons and self-defence. Following the completion of these two categories will be both the NBL contemporary and traditional forms divisions. As various age levels in forms are completed, their respective NBL sparring categories will follow. Also beginning at 9:30 a.m. is Brazilian Jujitsu, Submission grappling and Soft Style weapons.

SUNDAY DAYTIME SCHEDULE:
Self Defense, WKC Continuous Sparring, Modified Pankration, and all junior weapons forms categories will begin at 9:30 a.m. As various age levels in forms are completed their respective SKIL point sparring categories will immediately follow.
