Praying Mantis Kung Fu Federation Syllabus

Note: the Chinese terms in this article are in expressed in Cantonese.

Yellow sash level (novice level) - the form Baag Yune Tou Toe with an understanding of how to move properly in the form and a demonstration of the basics.

Orange sash level (novice level) - the form Sub Baad Sou with a verbal understanding of the applications.

Green sash level (intermediate level) - the form Tsaab Tsuui with a physical demonstration of the applications.

Blue sash level (intermediate level) - the form Baag Yune Tsuud Dung with as physical demonstration of the applications and a demonstration of hands only sticky hands and contact sparring.

Brown sash level (assistant instructor level) - Say Lo Bun Daa and Ng Long Gwan with a physical demonstration of the applications, sticky hands, sticky hands with kicking, contact sparring and open hand slap sparring.

1st black sash level (instructor level)- Mui Faa Kune and Yeen Tsing Doe with a physical demonstration of the applications, sticky hands, sticky hands with kicking, contact sparring, open hand slap sparring, and an oral examination of the applications and their principles within the system.

2nd black level sash (instructor level)- Mui Faa Log and spear with a physical demonstration of the applications, sticky hands, sticky hands with kicking, contact sparring, open hand slap sparring, and an oral examination of the applications and their principles within the system.

3rd black sash level (instructor level)- Saam Lo Dzaag Yeew and sword with a physical demonstration of the applications, sticky hands, sticky hands with kicking, contact sparring, open hand slap sparring, and an written description of the applications and their principles within the system.

4th black sash level (instructor level)- Fay Ngaan Dzerng and any other weapon with a physical demonstration of the applications, sticky hands, sticky hands with kicking, contact sparring, open hand slap sparring, and a written description of the applications and their principles within the system.

Graduate level - a demonstration of every form and a complete review of the entire system.
